Passion project

An interest in geography and visit to Hawaii in 2015, naturally sparked a desire to learn more about the Kilauea volcano eruption that happened on The Big Island in 2018.

After some initial research, I quickly began to discover that the information was spread here, there and everywhere making it very hard to absorb and understand what actually happened.

I gathered the key information and created this infographic poster bringing together geographical stats, facts and explanations into one place. It includes some additional geographical knowledge about Hawaii and the surprising benefits that volcanic eruptions can bring to the surrounding area and country.
